BLENDER TO WEB

Save Blender scenes as XeroD Configurator Studio projects — no exporting, converting or manual uploading. Build in Blender, present in the browser.

Everything you need

Every feature listed here comes directly from the source code — nothing invented.

Device-code Sign In

Sign in with your normal XeroD website login — no password or API key ever typed into Blender. Approve once in your browser and you are done. Tokens are revocable server-side.

One-click Scene Export

Select objects, press Save to XeroD Studio. Each object becomes its own model at its exact world position, or merge everything into one GLB. First save creates the project; later saves update it.

Procedural Material Baking

Noise, Color Ramp, Math nodes and more are baked to textures using Cycles — Base Color, Roughness/Metallic, Normal, Alpha and Emission — so the web result matches your Blender viewport exactly.

Smart Delta Uploads

Files are SHA-256 hashed before sending. Only changed models are uploaded — an unchanged scene uploads nothing at all. Up to 4 parallel uploads with live progress and ETA from measured speed.

Three-way Transform Merge

Move models in the web editor and Blender will respect it on the next save. If both sides changed since the last sync, a conflict dialog asks you to choose whose positions win.

Check Scene Pre-flight

Run Check Scene before saving to catch errors early — unsaved file, zero scale, linked objects, collection instances — each with a one-click Fix button where possible.

Secure Credentials

On Windows, your session is encrypted with DPAPI. On macOS/Linux, the system keychain is used. The .blend file never contains a password or token — only the project link.

Step-by-step Sidebar

Four guided steps in the N panel — Connect, Choose a project, Pick objects and send, Open and share — with progress hints, a live activity log, and one-click support info copy.

Open & Share Instantly

Open in Studio Editor jumps to the web editor. Open Public Viewer shares the interactive 3D experience. Both URLs are fetched live from the server — no stale links stored locally.

How it works

From Blender to a live interactive web configurator in four steps.

  1. Install the add-on

Download xerod_studio-2.1.0.zip. In Blender go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install…, choose the zip, then tick XeroD Studio. No unzipping needed.

  2. Sign in with your XeroD account

Press N in the 3D Viewport to open the sidebar, open the XeroD tab and press Sign in to XeroD. Your browser opens to an approval page. Check the code matches, press Allow. Blender never sees your password.

    One-time setup per device
  3. Select objects and save

Select the objects you want. Optionally run Check Scene. Press Save to XeroD Studio. The add-on exports each object as GLB, bakes procedural materials if needed, and uploads only what changed. The first save creates a new project; every later save updates the same one.

Up to 50 objects per save
  4. Open, style and share

Press Open in Studio Editor to style the interactive 3D experience in the XeroD web editor. When ready, publish and share the public viewer link — your 3D product is live on the web.

Installation guide

Installed in under two minutes. No unzipping, no command line.

xerod_studio-2.1.0.zip

Open Blender Preferences

In Blender, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons. Click Install… (top right). Select the downloaded zip. If you had an older XeroD add-on, remove it first and restart Blender.

Enable XeroD Studio

After installing, search for "XeroD" in the Add-ons list and tick the checkbox to enable it. The XeroD tab will appear in the 3D Viewport sidebar (press N).

3D Viewport → N → XeroD

Frequently asked questions

No. Only exported model files (GLB) and their positions are sent. The .blend file is never uploaded. Custom properties are also excluded from exports.
Blender 4.0 and newer. Tested on Blender 4.0 and 5.2. Python 3.10+ ships with those versions — no extra installation needed.
Your session is stored in Blender’s config folder (not in the .blend). On Windows it is encrypted with DPAPI. On macOS and Linux the system keychain is used when available. Signing out removes it completely.
Procedural materials need baking. Make sure Bake procedural materials is enabled in the Export panel. Also set Render → Color Management → View Transform to Standard for accurate colours.
Yes. Each computer or Blender session can sign in independently. Saves to the same project are serialised (one at a time) — the add-on handles this automatically and retries if another save is in progress.
This happens when the same model was moved in both Blender and the web editor since the last sync. A dialog asks: Use Blender positions or Keep web positions. No re-upload is needed, just the manifest is resent.
Exporting works offline, but sending to XeroD requires an internet connection. The panel shows a notice when the network is unavailable.
Not yet — deleting online models is done in the Studio editor. This is a known limitation of the current version. Animations are also not exported in this version.
Only you until you publish it from the Studio editor. Publishing copies the draft to a public viewer URL which you can then share freely.
